At last!......my bogey moth!

Lime Hawkmoth

Having trapped 700-odd species over the last seven years, this was a species that had always eluded me, and finding one on the sheet under a 160w blended bulb at Kilburn Woods this morning was extremely exciting for me.  What a corker of a moth!

It was not a bad nights catch with 323 moths of 54 species, with plenty of new 10k square records. Highlights included seven Oak-tree Pug, six Barred Umber, a Lunar Marbled Brown, and an Alder Moth.
